Position
In an economy of misery, a position is one of four ways symbols can organize the elements of a power system in relation to each other: dominance, mesodominance, suppression or displacement.
Someone can simulatenously hold multiple positions depending on the different symbols they have or lack. This overlapping of power and lack of it is a chief mechanism through which the nondominant elements of a power system can be overwhelmed, dispersed, set against each other and confused about where power is located and who is the dominant one.
