Understanding

Understanding is a process of the mind that articulates experiences in order to move from one point of understanding to another.

The sense that one has understood something may or may not have a paradigm to guide it and gauge what constitutes deeper, better or satisfactory understanding. This is relevant because, though we may move from one position to another in our understanding, that does not necessarily mean this new position makes sense to others or even our future selves, when put in a greater context, when scrutinied by more rigorous paradigms, or when put under the test of experience.
